THE MISSION
Our Engineers Without Borders chapter is dedicated to deploying sustainable engineering solutions both locally and abroad - evidenced in our involvement in Benton Harbor's Habitat for Humanity construction projects and our international project in Ambatalampy Madagascar. In May we will be traveling to Madagascar to assess our goal of implementing a solar microgrid to provide energy for the remote village of Ambatalampy. Our chapter relies on fundraising events and donations to make our mission possible. Therefore, all proceeds from this year's Solar Run 5K are going to fund our EWB chapter. Join us for some great exercise, get your own Solar Run t - shirt, and support our chapter's growth!

Our 2018 Solar Run 5K featured 122 registrants and grossed over $4,000.00 for our chapter's growth and continued involvement in the Ambatolampy Solar Panel Installation Project. A team of student engineers, faculty staff sponsor, and professional chapter sponsor will be flying to Madagascar May 2018 for the assessment trip. The 2018 Solar Run has enabled in - part our chapter to plan for a second trip - the installation phase of the project. Your contributions are greatly appreciated. Route specifics: the route will loop around Campus Drive, down to the dairy, then return to the track for the finish line

Tee Shirts: Unisex fit, included with registration
Participants who register after March 29 will receive T-shirts on a first come, first serve basis while supplies last.

Registration fee: $30 ($20 for current Andrews University students)
​
Prizes: $75, $50, $25 for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in men's and women's categories
